 Antiquing Solution is an "easy to use" product that will tarnish pure metals. This solution works great on solid or plated brass, copper, silver, nickel or any pure metals. Will not work on pot metals or other unpure alloys. Make sure the metal is clean and does not have a coating or protective film.
To Use Solution:
Transfer the solution into a suitable container with a lid for airtight storage.
Submerge you're clean metal parts into the Antiquing Solution.
Leave your parts in the solution until you get the desired results. This usually takes from 1-3 minutes. Remove the parts and rinse with tap water to stop the reaction.
Pat or blow the metal dry and buff or polish to the desired color and/or effect.
To preserve the "old or tarnished" look, seal or coat the metal from additional exposure to the air. For a suitable coating for most metals try our LA300 series Acrylic coatings and aerosol products. A1 Antiquing Solution is available in a variety of sizes including quarts, gallons or 55 gallon drums. Special orders for sizes and solutions considered by request.
