A great tool for color matching and blending, toners are used for all types of touch-up repairs. Toners are a nitrocellulose lacquer base with finely ground, top quality, non-fading pigments and/or dyes added for a lasting color repairs. The aerosol toners feature a specially designed spray valve for fine atomization, and are available in over 48 standard colors. Adapts to various methods of touch-up including: blending and evening colors, spot repairs, quick efficient evening and blending of colors, darkening white edges and correcting flaws in your finish without the fear of an overspray line. Do dust and/or dry spray light coats of the toner onto surface for best results.
Do keep spray can a minimum of 10"-12" back from piece that you are spraying.
Do use for light shading or toning.
Don't over apply or you will have a "painted", non- transparent finish.
Don't use for a large (i.e. dining table top) color change, aerosols are easy to streak!
Don't spray heavy or puddle. This may cause lifting or wrinkling of the finish.
Don't spray heavy wet coats and allow the toner to sag.
Proper Use & Application Tips
All aerosol spraying should be done at room temperatures of 70°F.
Shake the can vigorously up and down until the agitator ball inside is loose.
Once the agitator ball is loose, swirl the can in a circular motion for one minute to blend all ingredients properly.
Hold spray can 10-12 inches from the area being sprayed.
Clean-Up:
After you have completed your work, turn can upside down and depress the tip for a few seconds until only vapor appears. This will clean the spray head and dip tube.
Wipe off all overspray from the tip before you put the can away.
Clogged tips may be removed and soaked in lacquer thinner. Inserting a fine needle into the orifice of the tip will help clean clogged tips.
Storage:
Aerosol products perform best when used within 12 months of the date of purchase.
DO NOT EXPOSE TO FREEZING TEMPERATURES.
