This high solids, water clear, fast
building White Conversion Varnish is a great system for finishing new wood. This
varnish is a two part system consisting of the coating and a pre-measured acid
catalyst with each can. No more mixing and guessing, just agitate and add the
catalyst!
CV series Conversion Varnish may be used
with a catalyzed vinyl sealer or a non-catalyzed sealer, or it works great
as a self sealing system!
Conversion Varnish is the choice for
high production cabinet and mill work shops. Features unsurpassed durability and
quick "stack and wrap" times. Under normal conditions this product can be sanded
in 30-45 minutes and re-coated within 60 minutes.
Please note that the complex 2 part
system of this varnish makes it a poor choice for refinishers and/or old wood.
However, for new woods, this product features good durability and ease of use.
May be thinned up to 25% with Xylene or
Toluene.
With one coat of varnish as sealer and 2
topcoats of varnish this system will pass KCMA tests: hot and cold check
resistance and chemical resistance.
Use Toluene, Xylene or lacquer thinner
to clean up all equipment immediately after use.
Pot life is 8-12 hours depending upon
temperature.
